I drive a 2001 156 SW, never had any problems with it. Filled up with petrol and 5 miles later it started spluttering then completely cut out. Now it won't start, all electrics seem fine (wipers, lights, etc), all fuses, electric connections and fluids seem fine. Any ideas... Just one thing the 'Boot Lid' light on the dash stays lit and flashes.

You dont say if its a petrol or diesel ?? I had this once on my old 156, turned out there's a fuel cut off switch under the passengers seat... might be worth a go as sounds like a fuel pump issue.

You could try posting in the 156 Technical section also.

Mark,
Sorry, a bit vague there.
It's a 2001 (Y) Sportswagen TS, Selespeed, Petrol.
I'll check for the fuel switch tonight. Cheers
Duncan
