Morning. Further to my post earlier in the week re 'check engine' I now have fault codes which I'd appreciate your help with if poss. They are listed as follows:

P0159. Lambda 2 signal above catalyst, slow. Intermittent.

P0010 phase variation actuator on exhaust shaft. Intermittent.

P0011. Positioning diagnosis of camshaft on exhaust. Intermittent.

Any help (translation) would be appreciated.

Remove the solenoids and give them a damn good clean. Then reset and try again. I had similar issues but no Lamda error.

Solenoid is device which modify mechanics ( oil flew pressure ) to electrics ( signal to ECU ).
If problem lays in mechanical part wash would be OK.
If problem lays in electrical part ( shortcut ) solenoid would be replaced.
Second case is more common unfortunately.

Thanks chaps. Will give this info as a steer to a mechanic, assuming I could not do it myself?. Is it easy? If so a roadmap to do it would really be appreciated. Thanks again

It is really easy. Open the bonnet, strip TWIN PHASER engine cover off.
Two phase solenoids are left side, closed one it intake, next one is exhaust.
To take solenoid off ( apart of socket and single bolt ) some efforts to be applied since it is stuck normally.

Could this be a stretched timing chain or is that jumping too far ahead too quickly?

The lambda error also sounds like a sensor failing but I guess it might self correct when the other faults are dealt with.

No I do not think so. Exact chain failure code is P0016. No needs to deal with chain until this code shows up. For lambdas I agree especially because exhaust solenoid failure involved.
