Hello together,

do anybody know what the fault code U1405 stored in the engine ECU means? I don't get a describtion with AlfaOBD or MultiECUScan and it is not deletable and permanent existing. The engine runs without any problems and flashing fault lights. I enabled the speed limiter option in the proxy aligment a few days ago, but drove the car not until today with this setup. Now I disabled this option, but will drive the car tomorrow first. But I can't believe that this is the reason.

Kind regards.

Maybe the speed limiter option was really the reason, because now I found this: U1405 FIAT Diesel - Code OBD. I will see tomorrow if it goes away after disabling the speed limiter option.

It seems to be a communication fault between the engine ECU and the body computer ECU but I found nothing about this fault code specific for this engine in the whole internet. Should I disconnct the battery over night and look if it disappeared? Do I have to disconnect both minus and plus cable/connection on the battery for that?

U1405 is a generic Fiat code and is fuel system related, usually a sensor like an O2 or lambda sensor. Could be caused by a dirty MAF altering the fuel/air ratio which leads to erroneous measurements further along the system.
