Hi all,
i join you today after the sudden and tragic loss of my beloved Alfa GTV. i had the car for 3 years and it was by far the best thing i've ever driven (on the road) so now carless
im on the hunt to replace it with you've guessed it another fabulous GTV mine unfortunately met the unfortunate end due to cam belt failure and al my friends are laughing at me with the rather annoying alfa's are so unreliable line which is annoying as before mine died it had done a nice 148,000 miles! as it happens sadly the previous owner had cut a lot more corners that i previously thought with the up keep of the car. i bought it with a very to restoring it to its former glory but as it turns out on the last cam belt change the previous owner only changed the belt and not the res of the kit..or the water pump (not good) so as i drove it last winter the belt snapped on an a road and my whole engine was trashed as was the front end when the brakes went hard and it skidded uncontrollably on an ungritted patch of icey road so now i regrettably have given up my GTV and sent it to alfa heaven. any comments on replacing it and methods for keeping these cars most cost effectively would be most welcomed i love them so much i don't care what i have to doto get my hands on one! mostly i want my alfa back! any comments on best features on GTVs?
