Hi everyone,

I had my Alfa GTV's cambelt changed last week and while it was up on the ramp, the mechanic noticed that there was a small hole in the downpipe/front pipe.

My question is, my first MOT with this car is due at the end of this month, will this be an MOT failure? Would it be worth trying to patch it or should I just get a replacement?

I got my downpipes from Autobits
Autobits - quality parts at discount prices
They fit well and are still holding up after two years. A pain to get the old ones off though and ended up having to drill the studs out. The lambda sensor was also fused to the old one so had get a new one. Just beware though I also bought a CAT from the same place and the core broke loose soon after fitting. They replaced it with another one but that one only lasted about a year.
