Hey all, I have ordered a Veloce which is due for delivery mid March. I am looking into maybe doing something on the exhaust to get a nicer sound out but don’t want invest in a full new exhaust system costing mega bucks. I’m not clued up on the mechanics of it but I’ve read something like a straight pipe replacement of muffler removal could do the trick?

I have done some searches on here but so far most refer to US sites where mods have been done over there using US suppliers.

Can anyone recommend a garage/specialist in the UK pls? Probably looking for installation too. Looking at £300 or under.

Thanks

Great 👍 thanks for quick reply guys, just had a look at the website, was it expensive in the end to have done? What’s the sound like, are you happy with it?

I’ve had a look on You Tube and seen a Remus Axleback mod which looks and sounds good.

With the Autolusso Wizard system they have a demonstrator so it's very much a try before you buy situation. Also, for a Veloce you don't need all the bits the website price includes such as a new diffuser, so there is some saving. I suppose for maximum sound you could just get the OEM system replaced with pipes but I'd be a little worried about doing that only to discover you have some bad resonance at certain speeds etc. The Wizard system (and I guess others) can easily be removed and the stock system put back in place which is another advantage. With some man maths you could buy a custom system now and then put back the OEM system before you sell the car and then sell the custom system on for a total outlay of £300 :)

I'm tempted to go for the Remus back box.
But has anyone tried the straight no resonator Diesel middle pipe with a standard Veloce back box?

My 2018 Veloce did not have a resonator, I think it has been deleted.

If yours is the new Euro 6d compliant engine it will have a Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) which may act as a resonator and help cut resonance/drone. So the front pipe may now be straight through. Fitting the diesel pipe won't make any difference.

If pre Euro6d it will have a resonator, removing this is not a good idea, you will get resonance at cruising speeds.

Diesel does not have a resonated front pipe as it already has a DPF.

Hi there. I’ve driven the Autolusso Giulia a few times. It sounds quite nice. It’s not a huge difference. That’s got the diesel mid pipe replacement which mine would need. Has anyone tried the Ragazzon? Autodelta do that. The Remus also looks to be a good option. Considering the same myself justbto hive the car a little more. Otherwise it’s a brilliant machine and quite quick. You’ll be looking forward to getting it 😎 what colour?

I have opted for the Alfa Red, Tan interior with red callipers. Also added the 19” QV wheels which I am having painted the dark shade to match those on the QV.

I’m buying an aftermarket boot spoiler as well, I asked the dealer nicely if they would fit it for me and they obliged so should finish it off nicely 👍

Just looking into the exhaust options at the mo, just a bit concerned about warranty cover etc

I have the Remus axle back exhaust and had a few warranty jobs and services without any issue.

Interesting experiment using a spare stock exhaust on Giuliaforums, US site. @Pud237 any thoughts on the internals of the stock exhaust and mods being done?
