Hi,

Had my 166 2.0TS cambelt changed by MotorMech in Birmingham last week. They did the cambelt, water pump (there was slight play in the old one), balance belt, accessory belt and idlers for around £375 inc VAT. Unlike some specialists they didn't try to sell me a variator (they checked & it was fine - some try to replace it every cambelt change.) My impression was of honest and professional service. MotorMech specialise in all Italian cars but seemed to know plenty about the Alfa, so I'll be using them again. They are actually located in a railway arch under Moor St Station in the city centre, so you can wander off and find plenty to do while the car is being done.

Yes they mainly specialist in Fiat Coupe's. But Paul Gilbert does a grand job.
Also Nigel O who is on this forum work's there too.

They get a lot of work from Second City Motors (Alfa second hand dealer based in the Jewellery quarter) so have plenty of work coming in.
