Hi all, I am doing an engine transplant, 96 GTV to 96 GTV.
Does anyone know of any ECU, control equipment or alarm issues that I need to be prepared for please.

Simple then, just swap them over.

No need to move the ECU though, just move the engine.

Thanks for that David, but I did wonder whether there would be any problems with the ECU, whether it might need resetting afterwards, or is it just a straight disconnect~reconnect, likewise the alarm

All you are doing is swapping one 150bhp 2.0TS 16v for an identical 150bhp 2.0TS 16v engine.
Remove old engine, fit new engine.
You are not touching the ECU or alarm at all are you...

The car may need some fault codes resetting after dismantling the loom/engine etc and putting it back together, depends upon what was wrong with the original engine prior to shutdown.
