Hello
Whilst driving to work this morning I must've caught a speed bump which has basically caused the sump to crack and over the space of 10 miles drop all it's oil and seize on my way to work...
Engine no longer turns over so it's solid.
It's a 2001 156 2.4 JTD, it's got a good working turbo and just last week I fitted a brand new genuine Bosch MAF.

Anyone need any main bits before it goes off to the scrapper? Need to try and recoup my losses. I shall be removing the cat from it to try and get as much back as possible. Bodywork isn't great so mainly mechanical parts.

I'm gutted :( only owned it 6 weeks and it drove amazingly, luckily enough I haven't sold my old peugeot 306 hdi yet, so back to that for the time being

Sorry to here matey. As Symon says it's worth trying down the council route. If they will pay for bent wheels on pot holes then you might get somewhere. By the way that turbo will now be goosed as it's been run with no oil as the feed from the sump:(
