Ok so decided it’s going to be a 159 or a GT probably a GT but I do think the 159ti is the best looking saloon ever built ..so now to engines what in your opinion is the most pain free ?.... I know they all have issues but what has the least
The cloverleaf and blackline I’m led to believe have the 2.0ts and I would be comfortable with that but definitely don’t want a black car so that would leave just the cloverleaf so take the 2.0ts and the busso out of the equation for now what’s the most reliable out of the rest ? petrol or diesel included

I would say 2.0 JTDm, especially if you get one without the M32 gearbox

The only thing which really goes wrong is the EGR cooler cover.

The GT didn't get the 2.0 TS, instead it got the 1.8 TS or the 2.0 JTS. A lot of people myself included consider the TS to have been the better engine.

Apart from the front subframe the 159 doesn't seem to rust as badly as the GT.

I was led to believe the cloverleaf and blackline had the 2.0ts
Was it the earlier or later cars that had the m32

The cloverleaf was a 1.9 diesel with 170bhp, not sure about the blackline though.

The diesel was the best engine apart from the 3.2.

At least with the 159 you have the option of the 5 cylinder 2.4 which is even better again.
