Hi guys,

I need to get a replacement radiator for my GTV. I see there are a number of them on sale on ebay but wondering which of the following would be the best choice:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW...el:GTV&hash=item43c26edb31:g:l-gAAMXQh8NTcjZB

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-GTV-...el:GTV&hash=item51c11681c4:g:9SsAAOSwGvhT2Awy

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-ROME...del:GTV&hash=item464152444a:g:ZqsAAOSwWnFV-xl

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-ROME...hash=item2ca9692059:m:mX_m1oygw9VEoK9a0A51M4g

Is the air conditioning radiator a separate thing?

Less pricey, AKS DASIS 010280N , AVA ALA2056.

More costly, Nissens 60033, VALEO 731283.

All can be found on eBay.

AKS DASIS 010280N same as nissens. I bought one of each.
I believe the same, I would never be able to distinguishing between them if it wasn't that the nissens radiator have a nissens sticker on it where the AKS DASIS don't have a sticker, at
least when it comes to Alfa GTV and 156.

Just bought a Valeo for my Spider - £135.00 from Buycarparts, including delivery from Germany.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I forgot to say, the car is a V6 GTV. Does the 2.0 and 3.0 use the same radiators?

Would the cheaper radiator do? I actually had my radiator replaced by CM garage about April last year and it is knackered now. Not sure why. I think I paid £130ish for it.

I am not planning to keep the car very long so looking to not spend a massive amount unless I need to. I have 3 cars so not enough spaces lol.

Would this be any good:

Thanks.

All models use the same radiator the only difference being early cars had a temperature sender for the fans in the rad itself. Some rads are supplied with a blanking plug if needed.

Would buying one without a temperature sensor on the radiator affect the fan from coming on?

I noticed that when I drive the car actually overheats and the radiator doesn't come on.

Not sure if it would be the case but would a leaking radiator damage the temperature sensor causing the fan to not come on?

I have so far paid about £400 just in parts to try passing this MoT then this "leaking radiator" appeared from nowhere! What a moneypit the GTV is lol

The fan sensors on mind are on the fan housing that attaches to the radiator. Just look under the bonnet and see where the fan wires go.

The autodelta one, it's six times more expensive than the others so must be worth an extra 10bhp lol ?

Too little information about your car , on a Ph1 car you will need the temperature sensor in the radiator, on a Ph2 -> car the engine ECU have control over the fan (no need for the sensor in the radiator).

If you have a Ph1 car maybe the temperature sensor/switch in the radiator is broken, if you have a Ph2 -> car the temperature sensor on the thermostat maybe is faulty if the cooling fan do not start when needed.

GTV 2.0 and 3.0 use the same radiator.

Cheaper radiator will do very well (AKS DASIS and AVA are the ones I have experience with).

~ 1 year old radiator allredy knackered .. bad job done or a lemon radiator have been fitted ..?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-ROME...SwWnFV-xl&clk_rvr_id=1051157919725&rmvSB=true I would not buy that one, no numbers match the GTV 916, it is probably a radiator for a GTV 116, I have not bother me to check it.

Decent price and and correct part number http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kuhler-Mo...053974?hash=item236a773a56:g:kRoAAOSwMHdXTVIb
