Hi.

I've just been going through the paperwork from my 156 MOT pass yesterday morning:eek:

Can anyone explaing the following for me:confused:

Fast Idle check

1. Engine RPM measurement was by-passed.
2. Engine oil temp - Temp gauge showed warm (car doesn't have one).
3. Engine RPM. Limit 2500 / 3000 - Actual manual check - pass.
4. CO % VOL. Limit 0.20 - Actual 0.003 - pass.
5. HC PPM VOL. Limit 200 - Actual 0 - pass.
6. Lambda. Limit 0.97 / 10.3 - Actual 1.03 - pass.

Natural idle test

7. Engine RPM. Limit 450 / 1500 - Actual manual check - pass.
8. CO % VOL. Limit 0.30 - Actual 0.00 - pass.

Overall test result - test passed.

I take it that the engine is running as clean as a whistle:confused:

Interested in the figures is all:eek:

Cheers,

No longer a Registered Tester Sqn. sure there are current ones out there, but looks like your machine is A ok. Someone is bound to get more explicitly technical than myself over this though, so I'll Hunker Down. By the way, you probably know, Gute Fahrt, means Safe, good journey, assuming my spelling was correct! PS think a Temp probe is inserted by the Tester?

Cheers ZF. I didn't know what you meant on the Essen thread but didn't think it was insulting:)

Saying that, if it had been top farter, I would have agreed (as would Mrs SR)
