Here's a weird one...recently fell foul of the frozen handbrake thing so left car in gear overnight. late leaving for work so jumped in car and promptly forgot and turned engine over. Car lurched forward, I cursed and eventually got underway. Noticed that the interior clock wasn't working but thought nothing of it. Got to work and tried to activate alarm...nothing. Suspected infra red button had flat battery but the little LED was actually flashing. Mmm...strange. After work got out to car, opened door and noticed courtesy light wasn't working. Infact subsequent investigation has shown that none of the courtesy/map lights are functioning although bizarrely the little lights that illuminate the actual courtesy light manual BUTTON and map light BUTTON DO WORK! Checked out the fuse box in the driver's foot well and a 15A fuse labelled 'servizio' (services) has blown. Replaced it but immediately upon doing so, a little spark emitted and the fuse blew straight away. Does this fuse cover the things that aren't working and does the whole situation have anything to do with me starting the car up while in gear? And does anyone have any idea how to go about dealing with it? It's a 155 2L TS 16V 95/96 version. HELP!!!
