I have posted this as part of another thread, but thought it deserved it's own thread to get some attention.
Has anyone tried an EGR cheater / simulator on a JTD? And if so, what were the results?

Essentially, it's a small harness and a chip that connects between the MAF sensor, MAF sensor harness and the EGR harness that effectively lets you blank off and unplug the EGR without getting a check engine light. I assume that it fools the ECU into thinking that the EGR is plugged in and working, even though it is 100% blanked off. For those of us who don't want to go the full remap, maybe this is an option,
Comments or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I thought that too. However I think it would only take a little extra effort to encase it. Mind you, should be included.I certainly wouldn't want to have an electrical connection open to the elements. Bad design.
