Having my EGR blanked, manifold remived and cleaned and swirl flaps done on my Alfa GT Cloverleaf (170) tomorrow but trying to decide how to manage the EGR removal afterwards, my options are...

Remap (Evolution Chips) - Seem like a very reputable company with great reviews, however costs £300 for EGR removal with remap included and I'm a little worried about extra strain on clutch.

My Alfa specialist can get hold of Fixitsan dongles so this is an option, from what I understand it just stops the error codes from EGR (thought this was bad and is better to remove EGR from map altogether)

DIY buying mpps kit from eBay and using "ECU Safe" to remove EGR from my ECU, £25 so cheap as and I am a software dev so am comfortable doing this, however haven't heard many people talking about ECU Safe??? (Is this not a good idea?)

Autolusso will map out your blanked EGR for £150 Inc. ECU by post if you wish. It's not just a light-off kludge, low rev torque and response improve noticeably

Not sure if the fixitsan dongle works on the 147,156 or GT. I think it was designed for 159/brera/spider.

Be interested to know, if you know, whether it does work on the GT.

I have decided to go with the previous suggestion and send the ECU off to ned at Autolusso, however I have been told by Alfa indie that the Fixitsan dongles work perfectly with the GT as he has tried and tested.
