Hi all,

I have a GTV v6 cf2 and am having a lot of trouble finding a comparable ecu as there are to many of these cars in Sydney. I have a chance to buy a Spider v6 cf2 ecu however the person selling it cannot give me the ecu number to verify that they are the same. My question is, are the GTV cf2 and Spider cf2 ecus the same? Are they interchangable? Thanks for any feed back.

GTV v6 cf2 ecu number is 0261 206 012

Note that the ECU mates with the immobilizer box and cannot be transferred from one car to another without making it "virgin" or turning off the immobilizer totally.

Thank you redtop_68. That is a good point. If the ecus match I will remove the Spider ecu, yellow box, and key chips, or virginise the Spider ecu.

Does anyone know if the GTV and Spider ecus are compatible/ the same?

EauRouge, I thought so as well that they should be the same. Why would they be different? Yet an Alfa mechanic in passing said otherwise. Any one else? Please.

If the immobiliser is not the fault, you could swap the immobiliser chip from one ecu to the other.
