hi guys was just wondering if you could change the ecu without any major problems occuring.as in having to have it plugged in to reset.any answers much appreciated.cheers

First off, why are you changing it? - They are quite robust & it is rare to have to change one

hi jon,had a word with an alfa mechanic and he seems to think i might have a problem with it.no.5 cylinder had a valve go[repaired now] and now its missing a beat.if you take plug off no.5 injector,revs drop.take plug off any other injector and it cuts out.even swopped injector with my bro and same is happenin.swopped it now and it wont work.think its the turbo? cheers

only the chip inside the key.think it has to be plugged in and recoded.trying a turbo stripdown now,also goin check the cat/exhaust for oil contamination from valve hitting piston.

What is your problem?
What year is your jtd?
If it is a late one with an edc16 ecu is not as simple .:)
