how long would the groundwire be if you utilised one of the original ground points? these are the ones in the very back corners, under the rear light assemblies?
a 'good' ground point is one that is solid chassis (not a flimsy brace), and stripped clean of paint where your terminal is, and very securely/firmly attached.
i prefer to drill a new hole in the spare wheel well, in a position that can be accessed from underneath the car, as well as inside. this way, i can use a bolt/nut to make a tight connection. obviously, when drilling, be mindful of any electrical/brake lines and fuel tank.

Just fitted ice system to p3 3.2 gtv and now there is a high pitched whine that changes frequency with the engine revs. Everything else works great except that whine. Oh also, the system on switches on when engine started not in the Mar position... Any ideas on either would be appreciated🍀
