I've recently (as in 3 weeks ago) replaced the OSF wheel bearing. Already replaced the NSF a year ago.
I'm getting a very loud shrieking sound from somewhere around the front of the car. It's a really high-pitched metallic sound.
Noise doesn't start straight away. Car has to have done about 5 miles, and then it gradually builds up over the next few miles until it is constant.
Doesn't make a noise when car is stopped, with engine running.
Noise doesn't change with engine speed either
Noise stops on right-hand bends
Noise stops if brake applied fairly heavily
This indicates, to me, that it is the OSF wheel bearing making the noise, but it is only about 500 miles old!
Before I start ripping it out again, any other suggestions as to what it might be?
