Last night the instrument light, along with all the dials went out, and shortly after the battery light came on. The problem was easily solved with a new fuse but before i changed it i checked to see if the battery was charging and it wasn't!, after i changed the fuse it seemed OK. This seems a little odd to me as i would expect the two systems to be totally isolated. Is this going to be a problem or is it just typical italian electrics?

Many thanks..

Don`t know about that Slippy, but I think the fuse you changed was for:
Dashboard, Check Panel, windscreen Washers, Headlight Washers, Reversing lights, Controlled Damping suspension, A/C control, Engine electric fan control.

Co-incidence only

Cheers Chris, I think your right, coincedence. Anyway i found the reason why the fuse blew, the cables for the reversing light was earthing on the body so that was easy enough to fix.

Hi Steff, Chris

Do you know where I can get a copy of 1.8, 8 v wirring / electronic diagram?

Ref to topic "engine cut while driving", had my car checked by a mechanic, treated the symptom but unable to identify the cause. Changed all the relays and tightening all electrical parts.

Impress, you guys could handle the E&E onyour own.
