Why would you need special certification for parts which are standard fitment? And, as wrinx says, how would anyone know either that they are fitted now or that they weren't fitted before? Does your MoT test (or local equivalent) involve removing the wheels?

I assume that all of the 155's were fitted with spacers as the scan of the manual is dated 07-91.

eek! eek! Not again.......major confusion over this one. Most 155's must have lost them over the years but some owners didnt have them fitted either, despite having the cars from new.

jb what does the gamma bz mean on the parts bit as this is always on my sheets when buying new bits?

Over here in NZ the use of wheel spacers is banned. This is why low volume certification would be needed. Chances are they were taken off either before my car reached the country or were taken off shortly after. If people servicing the car come across them they are obliged to remove them. After reading all the previous posts on the subject I decided to ask the authorities what would be required. It turns out if I can prove that the spacers were original fitment, I can use them!

Fletch, the "bz" means benzine (petrol), "gamma" is just a name they gave the cars I think....dunno.

You may also see "type167" (its parts of your chassis number too), this was just the factory designation for the model.

gamma 96 means 'model year from 1996'.
