My 159 1.9jtdm is one year old and has done 12,500 miles. I rang my dealer as i have problem with my boot and needed a warranty repair, while i was on the phone i asked if i needed an annual service or did i wait till 18000 miles.
The lass on the phone said yep i needed an annual service as the limit was 18k or 1 year whichever came first.
I've booked the service at a cost of 196 quid but i'm not sure if i've been led astray, can anyone confirm what the criteria is?

Oh and is 196 too dear, should i try an independant instead?

Cheers

this topic has (tried) to be covered before and TBH there still isn't a definitive answer.

My own dealer told me to bring the car into the garage every year for an oil change but not a full service - this is to be done every 18000 miles/2years.

However there is also a low mileage service.............

Have a look at the other threads and try to decide yourself. Me I am doing the oil change every year (regardless of mileage) and a service every 18000/2 years.
