My satnav , and many other screen mounted ones, tend to obscure too much of my view, and I hate wires hanging around, so-
One old plastic handled chisel, one Belkin screen mount with flexi arm, one usb 12v lighter socket, plus original screen mount for the satnav. Shaped the chisel handle to fit the top dash socket, drilled and threaded it to take the flexi arm, other end of flexi fitted in to the ball joint of the original mount. Drilled a hole in the dash to take the USB adapter and all that is left to do is find the 12v supply , probably from the radio, and solder it to the adapter.
No screen obstruction , and can be bent round for the passenger to use if required. 2 Pics of the finished item and one of the bits left over.

I ended up taking a 12v supply from the fusebox under the steering wheel with a piggyback fuse and a rocker switch .
