I am not in a place right now where I can deal with a government department.

Does anyone have contact details for one of the few optometrists doing the full renewal, not just the eye test?

I'm really out of time here.

Whats 5 hrs of your life standing at the license department compared to 5 years of driving pleasure in your Alfa, knowing that when you get pulled over for speeding you at least won't get a fine for a expired license....hahaha

It's not such a mission - my license was renewed last year. Just went to the Centurion License Department, and everything took 25 mins... I was bracing myself for a MASSIVE queue, but there was nobody! :lol:

Behold the revelation that is Sandton City post office...they now have a dedicated cashier there who does renewals live on the system for any COJ registered cars, at no extra cost over and above the license fee reflected on the renewal notification biggest pleasure ever!
