I Carsoft make a tool
iCarsoft i950 for Fiat / Alfa Romeo OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scanner Tool Code Reader, $175
and
iCarsoft FT II Fiat & Alfa Romeo OBD2 II Professional Diagnostic Scanner Tool-$230

Anyone used these and will they communicate?

I use one of these , very simple , gives codes and says which area is troublesome i use on other makes as well, you can search the codes online .

If you own a lap top then cheapest option is to download MES and purchase cables.

Most scanners and blue tooth dongles and phone apps work on my 2004 car to see the engine computer. MES can get to the air bag and other systems.

The second scanner looks pretty good for £150 and appears to do everything for any car! If I didn't have the cables and mes already id probably buy it.

I've got a cable set from i-Diagnostics: ELM cable + 3 coloured adapters for £24.99

I also have a paid copy of MultiECUScan (£50 ish I think)... £74.99 for 91% coverage of all computer modules on the car!
