Hi,
I will be changing my front brakes soon as the feel like they have been shot.

Went to my local motor factors for a CV boot, I asked about the discs and he quoted me £103+VAT for 2 front delphis, 284mm, seems a bit pricey but wanted to know if they are any good and worth the extra, Alfashop quoted £35+VAT each for them but I dont know what make these are.

I will fit Ferodo DS2500 with them because I want to get rid of as much fade as possible, also will re-new the fluid.

Cheers

I'm sure Delphi are actually Lockheed or something (actually that's an aeroplane  ).

I have Delphi pads on the back of the Silverstone, cost £18 and are OK. Jason77 has Delphi discs on the front of his 2.0litre 16v. They aren't great. He grooved them with an angle grinder

Bloody work too :cheese: :cheese: :cheese:

Ok, still wondering on this,

now torn between EBC grooved and dimpled

or

black diamond crossdrilled,

both similar price (£130 odd), bound to be much better than delphi standard ones which are £120.

Which would you choose?

Cheers

I don't know who your local motor factor is but 103+vat for delphi discs is a rip off :tut: :tut: .
I work for a large national motor factor and can tell you that delphi discs for your car would only cost about £40 a pair

Daran

I wanted to get a pair of ATE Powerdisc's for my 16 Valve, I've checked on ATE's website and they list them but I haven't found anyone that supplies them yet :D :D :D

Thanks a lot.
The only people I can find that do them are Europarts but they don't respond to emails and they tend to specialise in German, Swedish and French cars, I'll try ringing them on Monday they can't ignore me forever.......... :D :D
