How many of have de badged the rear of there cars? Can't make my mind up to do it or not.

Pomeo has V6 missing since before I got her.
She had had an OSR shunt.Not a bad repair though then again I dont look fur perfection.Although in mah eyes she is.

Furra a laf I was gonna stick Mito TI on her.

Do people do this because they are ashamed of having a diesel or are missing the full 3 litres?

Mine was debadged when I got it. Only the Alfa Romeo badge on the rear. Think it looks good.

If I had a 156 GTA or 166 3.0 Super, I would probably just have "GTA" or "166 Super". I think that's cooler than putting all the specs of the car on the back.

Having all the badges makes the rear a bit busy, but I wouldn't mind having some of them. Maybe just the "166".

If the badges have been on the car for a long time and they are removed, will the paint behind the badges be darker from less fading? Or doesn't the paint fade much?

Depends on the colour. Red is notorious for fading quickly in the sun. Greys are pretty stable.

I've de badged mine - its nice to give some of those younger boy racers in their rubbish Saxos' a good thrashing in a V6 - especially with an old saloon that doesn't seem like it will still go like hell!

mines de-badged. much prefer the clean look.
Also like seeing people confused when they can't quite make out what the car is.

Wasn't there and idea floating around a while ago that we should repalce the engine capacity badges with our carbon emmisions figures. Alfa Super 296 :lol:

I'd move the Super badge to the "original" place on the bottom left of the "lid".

And make sure to slide the alfa badge over the lock when not in use

Thinking of just removing Super badge altogether.

In my defence the picture is from the previous owner. I always ensure the boot badge is returned to it's proper place
