Owning a 155 1.6 16v. During a repair of the engine found out the car is asking for the mastercode now. The car won't run although the engine is.. Unfortunatly I am not having the masterkey or codecard. The car was bought secondhand. Does anyone know (to safe myself another 1200 euro) how to crack this or knows another cheaper possibility? Thanks guys!

Hi Alex

Sorry to hear about your problem. Presume you mean the code for the immobilisor? Have you aproached your Alfa Dealer with the VIN number to see if they can help?

You may be looking at buying a new ECU otherwise, sorry eek!

Some places can re-code the ECU now I believe. The master key was missing when I bought my first 155. I had to have new locks all round and a new ECU. Lucky for me, the garage paid the £800 + VAT plus Labour!!!

Try a dealership with your chassis number (on the bottom of your windscreen) ZAR... 0105.....
