Just noticed this today on the way to work. I had the lights on and switched to D when a bloke in a VW Polo next to me gave 'that look' at a red light. ;) Anyway, when I pushed the switch for D mode the dashboard lights dimmed for a second then went back to normal. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it supposed to do this or is this a potential fault? I never noticed this in my MiTo, so maybe it's something in the Giulietta.

Great, I was hoping this was the case. The guy in the VW Polo (with the big blower exhaust) wasn't expecting the big 4 door car next to him to launch away from the lights like it did, the poor guy tried but gave up after a few hundred yard, bless! :cheese:

Yeah, what's wrong with the one on the RadioNav? (you can switch it to a G force meter if you don't want to see the power & boost gauges)

The dimming lights thing is one of the joys of switching to D while you're driving (along with the bit where you get thrown back into your seat). There's a thread on here from last year where someone complained that it was dangerous because you couldn't see the speedo for a split second, and that might make you crash, etc.
For the rest of us, it's just a fun touch of style. :D

Most cars in SA like Hygrade's doesn't have the radionav. Its to expensive. Its about 1800 pounds to add it to your car. So the only boost display most in SA has is the one on the onboard trip computer....

As for the dimming lights... I love it! Its like a hart beating!!!

Nav is not an option in SA
