Hi , I started a project to fitt a docking station on the top of the dash .
Now I'm close to the finish line but there are some unanswered questions.
I bought an old stile air vent thing (preface lift) and cut it , fibreglass it , sand paper it and so on, the question is will the preface lift air vent thing fit on the facelift dash cut of ???
I did ask the following a few time but the standard stereo has any aux input ??
I post some pics

It's an obstruction. Depends on the mot tester but I've had "fails" for a phone holder on the windscreen, I mean all they do is take it off and put it on the seat and then pass it when the other bits have been sorted, but you can't do that with yours

I think its a good job done.

And as for MOT if its a problem buy a spare for £5 and fit it for every MOT

Just have to try and see, I cant imagine that they would change the complete dash design on the face-lift, just the things that bolt on.
No idea how to remove though.

I finished it and tryed it and it doesn't fit, :(
But now I'll rebuild it from the original air vent.
Now I have the "experience"....
I'll post some pictures tomorrow...
