Hey guys,

I've been driving a 147 for a few months without any issue. I parked my car the other day, came back, unlocked it and realised the alarm didn't beep loudly as it normally annoyingly does. I put this down to the fact that maybe the wind set the alarm off.

I get in the car and the dash light that has the key on is flashing a red colour, I look in the owners manual and it only gives a status for up to 9 flashes (Alarm), would it be down to something else? After a bit of button bashing it now beeps/unlocks.

However! the beeping is very quiet compared to usual. Also, when i turn the key I don't get an immediate turn over. But when it begins to turn, it starts fine.

I thought it may be the battery, but the sticker is 'green'.

Any ideas? Cheers guys!

On further reading in the forums, I think the dulled alarm BEEP is down to the fact water may have come in to contact with the "noise-maker" during the heavy rain/wind/floods we've been having lately.

Not sure as to the cause of the delayed start though, same reason perhaps?

Anyone?

Particularly interested in the delayed starting - its happened to me before.:(

Could it be battery despite the green indication?
