There is a policy at the Hospital these days that promotes
riding a bicycle to work ... I think they even lend you one - commendable for
fitness and promoting a lack of overcrowded parking ...

... but ... If I was to do such a thing, I'd be permanently in fear of
being squashed by HGV's or run over by motorists doing their make up
or on mobile phones ... so, not for me :)

That's the fattest looking 'Old Ordinary' I've ever seen!

The rolling resistance would be a mite perturbing, for sure.

Well ... if I was to cycle anywhere it would have to be using that


am guessing i'd have to pedal fast :lol:

Well actually, not necessarily. It depends on the gear ratios. Of course, on a real old ordinary (penny farthing) the pedals are directly connected to the front wheel, so the bike has one 'gear', dictated by the circumference of the wheel...ah, the purity of it...
