Recently had both upper and lower wishbones replaced on the front of my 2004 156 Sportwagon. All was fine for a week or so and the car felt really taut and stable as well as being squeak free.

However, I'm now getting all I can describe as a creaking noise when I first pull away or as I come to a halt. Don't get any squeaks or creaks over speed bumps etc though.

Drove into work in pretty steady rain this morning and I'm sure the creak had disappeared or at least wasn't as bad. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Cheers

check the 8 bolts, 4 per lower wishbone, that hold the lower wishbones to the sub frame.

they might not be properly torqued. also apply locktite to make sure they stay tight.

Work was all done by my indy, so I'll ask him to check everything you have mentioned.

Thanks again.
