If anyone needs to clean out the coolant reservoir (did mine as all oily from head gasket falure) - remove from car and block up pipe holes - then insert a dishwasher tablet - fill with boiling water, re-attach cap and leave over night. Rinse and bingo good as new.

Another one is to add some small stones and give the reservoir a good shake, then the stones will help dislodge all of the dirt.

Thats interesting.....had heard people putting them in the dish washer but your idea sounds gentler and wife friendlier :lol:

Easy - three bolts and hose conectors - thats it

yes, 3 10mm bolts & a fw clip, you'll loose some fluid but only what in the tank, tie up the hoses as high as possible to preevnt drainage form the engine or park it on a sidewards slope would help too.
