Having had around 50 BMWs in the last two or three years, I yearned for a change when it came to a reasonably luxurious, fast cruiser that could do a bit of work but still feel special.
I thought about a couple of BMWs offered to me, and I considered other decent sized cars like an MG ZT or Mondeo ST24.
But when I sat in a 156 that i went to view - I knew what I wanted. Admittedly, it was a COMPLETELY rotten 2.4JTD that rattled and clunked everywhere, and was filthy, and had humongous holes in the floor (I mean fist sized!).
I walked away from that, but soon after one popped up that suited exactly what I needed. This was incredible, seeing as Northern Ireland has a distinct lack of nice Alfas available, and the last V6 I'd seen advertised was months ago. The adrenaline rose, the nerves tingled and I made no delay in getting to it and picking it up.
I procured myself one 2001 156 V6 6-speed Veloce Sportwagon.
I've had it 8 days now, and I love it.
I've come on here to find out solutions to some small niggles, but nothing that can stop me having a stupid big grin every time I get into it. It just feels special. But you knew that anyway!
