Who wouldn't?

Big Boys Toys.

The things we used to get at airshows that we don't any more. Shame the same aircraft are used in multiple roles, instead of role specific aircraft.

One of the joys of working airside at Heathrow was to be able to be alongside the runway when Concorde took off. You not only heard it but reverberations nearly shook your fillings loose.

The 747 was good to watch. The only way you could tell it was underway was the increase in exhaust gas as the throttles opened. Then you became aware that it was in fact moving, but appeared not to be accelerating. Just as you thought "it's never going to make it" it would lumber into the air and be gone - wonderful!
