Hi Guys & Girls

I have owned a Alfa Romeo 156 DTI for 2 weeks now and have loved every minute until this morning when leaving for work and the key would not open the doors or boot. I came back in to get the spare fob - but still nothing. I opened the door with the key and activated the alarm, much to the cheer of my neighbours. When I turned on the ignition the lights wouldn't come on so I realised I had activated the immobilizer. After several minutes I could reset the alarm and open it. So I thought wahay off I go - but NO. The ignition lights will come on and the rev counter shoots up but not a thing happens. I have tried jump starting it but nothing. Please help as I have not got the first glue. It drove home last evening perfectly.

Your completely right, have had a new battery and very relieved that's all it was. Thank you very much.
