Has anyone seen an Alfa taxi in the UK? I imagine they're rare as they are the opposite of what a Taxi should be;

Economical
Roomy
Reliable
Cheap to maintain

I would exclude from this any "Executive Chauffeur Service" (posh taxis what charge twice as much as normal ones but it's OK cos it's generally people what put it through their work expenses) running a newer 166.

So that's the competition - the first person to post a picture of a current, working, UK based Alfa Romeo taxi (preferably private hire with a big light on the top) wins a new MiTo*.

Superb!

All you now have to do is;

1) Post a picture of the plaque on the rear bumper matching your plate.
2) Phone 0898 147 159* to claim your prize of a new MiTo

*calls will last no more than 3 hours.
calls charged at £8,000 per hour

Mark 147 - you have WAY too much time on your hands my friend! Despite that, you are now vying for Top Legend with DaverGTV.

I almost feel like buying a MiTo for you both to share as you have made my day.

Outstanding.

Didn't someone once post a picture of a 156 taxi here? :confused:

I remember it because it had HUGE :eek: signs all over the rear doors pointing to where the door handles are :lol:

Hi, I'm the loonatic who's put 3 Alfa 156s on the cabs in liverpool they have been brilliant! I was the first to do it, and because they proved so reliable there are a total 7 alfa 156s on the taxis here now.We have even sprayed a sportwagon up to look like a New york cab, I will try and post some pictures on this site(any ideas how I go about it)If not the Alfa cabs are featured in the AROC magazine every other month, they will be in December issue due now.

regards Steve
