My new to me QVLine (65 plate) was grit blasted by a spreader on the A1 during the cold snap.......I know they have to do it but I wish I wasn’t following! Came through mostly unscathed but a few chips appeared and wow, that blue really shows them at their worst!!
I phoned around dealers for a touch up pen to be told that 486 b isn’t available!!!!
Halfords don’t have it, nor do they mix colours in store in Halifax any more. Couldn’t find a clear match amongst similar blues either.
On the off chance, called in at The Range..... Hycote Ford Deep Impact Pearl at £3.49 for bottle and brush. Tried it today and it was as close a match as I’ve ever had with touch up paint of any colour.
Thought others might find this useful after the Beast from the East!!!

I do use the bay and I did see those but some past experiences buying touch up paint and seeing the stuff on the shelf, even though it’s only an approximate assessment (the one I bought came in a clear bottle), made me look locally.
