a rice pudding

Going in for a re-map soon as I've got bored of the chip and need something meatier to get
the power down ..

Check; AP racing, CG Motorsport, helix, can't think of any others right now, but I'm sure a search with these should come up with something :)

I've got a CG Motorsport 6 paddle clutch to fit into my GTV, should handle the extra torque mines throwing out :)

Not sure what I should be looking for as cars have been totally alien to me in
the past being a biker but will have a browse all the same, cheers

Mito clutch upgrade update?

Have anybody gotten any experiences with Mito clutch upgrades since this post was originally started, I have looked around on the suggested company web sites but have not found anything that fits a Mito?

CG-Clutch Specialists Dual Friction clutch kit 40%

I have just gotten a price from CG-Clutch Specialists who also make a Mito clutch even if it not listed on their web site, they suggest a Dual Friction clutch kit including the slave cylinder and that will give me 40% more “gripping power” but a normal driving feel.

The price will be £375 + shipping so a little cheaper than the ZF SACHS that runs up to around £484 + shipping

I’m going to be gone for a couple of weeks because of work but when I return I think I will get the CG-Clutch and try that out because of the extra 10% grip.

An aggressive clutch might not be wise on a weak gearbox - mine is certainly starting to show signs of weakness after 65k on standard clutch with the 1.6 JTDm engine. Just a thought...

The M32 is a pretty solid gearbox, so I am not woried about it. What kind of other modifications are you running sthor?
No it's not. M32 gearboxes with failing bearings are all over the internet. Yeah they may be rated for more power and torque than the mito chucks out but they must use plasticine to build them because they're forever failing. There's people out there especially amongst those driving the 1.9 diesels notably the vectra that are like on their 3rd box.

Don't blame you, lots of hot hatches are fitted with chocolate gearboxes nowadays anyways, if it fails it fails I suppose it's one of those things really isn't it. Was merely contesting your assertion that the M32 was a "solid box" because well, it's not. :D
