Done a quick search but not found anything that matches the slight issues I've got at the moment.

Key in the ignition and everything lights up ok, wait for the message push clutch or brake and press starter. I push the clutch pedal down and hit the starter button and the lights go off. I can try this a number of times before the car actually starts. Or, I can just press the brake pedal and the starter switch and it fires up straight away.

I suspect that the clutch pedal sensor is worn out? I'm going to replace it as soon as I can find a decent one. Can anyone recommend a maker/source? Or even confirm you've had the same issue?

Same story time to time.
Also have mess: "Hill Holder unavailable. Consult handbook." VDS error lamp on dash.
Cruise control do not work also.
In my case it can happend one time in week.
As I see, it is a clutch pedal sensor or wiring to it.

mine did this - tried to replace switch with one i was assured was the right one - it wasn't so put the old one back in. oddly works fine now?? go figure

Ough... Some nice guys here I see...
This bloody switch is self- adjusting. Just take it off...
Pull switch piston off and put back again. It should works.
I have posted some pictures here before. Can not repeat them this computer with.

The switch plunger has a self-adjusting ratchet action. Remove the switch, which is a bayonet fit in the bracket, grab the plunger in a vice or with pliers and pull hard until ~1cm of plunger is showing. Depress the clutch pedal some whilst re-fitting. The first time the pedal is allowed up to its rest position will adjust the plunger correctly and it should now work. If not, the switch is cattled and you need a new switch.
