Hi All,
I need to replace my clutch master cylinder on my 1997 2Ltr Spider. I have the new part and I have a manual. Unfortunately I cannot seem to be able to get near the connection or bolts needed to release the old master cylinder from the car. Can anyone please help?

Never done it, but a photograph often helps so here's a photo of a 1997 TS clutch MS -

To improve access, you could remove the throttle pedal as it is in the way a bit. Just unhook the spring you can see in the photo and the throttle cable at the top, undo the two screws in the white hinge blocks and out it comes.

It's awkward to reach and see what your doing. It's easier with the manifold off but that in itself is a major undertaking even if you have every tool known to man. I would be tempted to just change the seals. Might not work, the m/c might be too worn, but worth a try.

Mine has gone on my phase 1. No resistance left on the pedal and p**sing fluid on the carpet ?
Does £190 plus recovery £50 sound like a good deal...it does to me?
Although not ideal this bill...car just cambelted as well
