I have heard you can use some metal polish to get the plastic glass clear again. Has anyone tried this out with the spider? If so what cleaning / polishing product do you recommend. I would rather clean it up than fork out for a new one, obviously. The thing gets cloudier by the minute!

There are a number of perspex polishes available used in aviation on the canopies. One is made by the same company that does Autoglm (spelling?) also Meguiars do Mirror Glaze 10. If plastic is poor use M-1708 beforehand. If you try some of the pilots supplies shops you might get lucky. Adams Aviation is one.

AFE is another:-

I bought some of the scratch remover (as advertised on a certain bay site at around £8) and found it not too impressive, till I applied it with my electric polisher. Then it did work and made a BIG difference.

Need to watch you don't run the machine too fast and burn/melt the plastic though.

Regards
