Hi Guys,

Just bought a 2 year old Giulietta 2.0 140 Lusso which has rather dull and tarnished exhaust tips.

What would you guys advise using to clean them up?

If I can get it on the high street / halfords that would be even better!

Thanks in advance

I used Brasso and 2000 grit wet and dry, test spot it first but mine came out perfect.

You might try using a product that removes blueing and tarnish from motorcycle pipes. I had some in my cleaning supplies. I tried it on one of my cars and it worked great.

Autosol and 0000 ultra fine wire wool, every time. Heavy deposit removal via a steamer and AG engine / machine cleaner. :)

You'll need to remove the back box and soak it in copious amounts of degreaser and use a steamer with nylon brush attachment to get it back to the stainless steel, then metal polishes. It's what I used for my Quad and now looks like new.

Meguiars Next Generation Metal polish is excellent. Use with a little wire wool until it turns black, then buff off with a soft cloth

OR

Britemax Easy Cut and or Final Shine. These can be used together the first cleans, and the second seals. However you can use them on their own depending on the amount of tarnish to be removed. Easy cut is more aggressive and is great for removing heavy oxidisation, where the final shine is ideal for the removal of slight oxidisation.
