Hi all....just had a thought pop into my head,..and I have a question..

My phase 2 gtv has engine breather pipe feeding into the air intake pipe and all fumes etc are burnt off for economy etc...

I cleaned my throttle body a while back, and it looked like s**t...... Oil deposits everywhere..

Now..if we fitted a small k&n filter to the engine side pipe, and disconnect it completely from the intake side of things, and had ""clean"" air only into the air pipe..

A cleaner burn
Hotter spark
More bhp
Better mpg
:D
Etc,etc,etc!!

Replies and ideas welcome
Or am I living in dreamland?????

Venting the crankcase breather to the atmosphere is an MOT fail (or at least if they notice and care it could be) If you do it, tuck it out the way,

Also, as mentioned, make sure both holes to the intake are blocked, and dont stick a filter on one crank breather and leave the other connected to the intake.

Thanks people... Was going to filter the engine side and block off the air intake side.. My MOT man doesn't bother with little mods, as long as emissions and body are legal.:D... Any ideas regarding the second breather pipe, ( intake manifold with valve, spring etc) or should I leave that as is???

Has anybody noticed any gains regarding cleaner burn, mpg, etc etc.???
