I was all set to place the order for my Giulietta today until the fleet management decided to update the list and include more options/trims! A good problem to have, but now I'm torn between several configurations....

The two bits which are consistent: 1.6jtdm, Ghiaccio white

1. (original choice) Lusso
18" 5-hole alloys, red caliper upgrade, Alu pedals, folding mirrors, black/grey competizione cloth. Visibility pack as standard on Lusso (rear parking sensors, heated windscreen, electrochromatic mirror, rain sensors)

2. Veloce I
18" 5-hole alloys....that's it. But alu pedals, leather/microfibre seats, sideskirts, satin effect mirrors and alu kick plates are included

3. Veloce II
Same as option 2, but with 18" sports design alloys and rear parking sensors.

The main thing I will miss from option 2 is the visibility pack & rear sensors. I'm not particularly bad at parking but the RPS are a nice feature to have. The red calipers upgrade would have also made a nice visual impact as well as improve braking performance....but then again option 2 has a vastly improved interior with the leather/microfibre. Option 3 is an inbetweener, but I much prefer the 5-hole design alloys over the sports design....for some strange reason there's a £210 difference between the two alloys when ordering in Veloce trim but no difference in Lusso trim

There is actually an option 4 which is taking the 2.0 jtdm in Lusso or Veloce trim, but I virtually won't be able to add any options, (even special/metallic paint) meaning it's Etna black only, which isn't to my taste.

So that's the situation now....would love to hear what you guys think!

No, with the 2.0 I can't add anything, so it would be the standard lusso or veloce spec. I guess the way I see it is that 320Nm is enough grunt especially for a 1.6 so I'm willing to drop some torque (30Nm I think?) to optimise the car's looks.:p

Yeah, it is basically full option. Cca 4.400 GBP of options.
Very nice! Maybe after a few years, my company car budget will allow me to fully spec a car like that, but i'm only starting out so it's "band 1" only. Still...can't complain too much if i can get a Giulietta!:)

Then I'd go for the Veloce, but instead of parking sensors, how about the vis pack?
Yeah, that's another option. But from what i've read from other owners, the parking sensors are pretty useful with the G's limited rear visibility.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Just thought i'd post my final decision...which is to go with option 2 and get dealer fitted parking sensors upon delivery of the car. This way, I can still get the 5-hole alloys, veloce extras plus the parking sensors. I'll just have to pay for the sensors separately outside of my company car policy....:p

Shame i can't get the red calipers though....maybe for my next Alfa! :D

Veloce for sure. Decide which rims you like and go with that.

(I have a company car and never get the parking sensors. I would effectively end up paying for them on the lease deal; and we have a little man that comes around and takes sratches out that i dont pay for anyway!)

I would get factory fit parking sensors it gives you the display ... you can reverse all the way up to solid tone on the last segment and you are 12 inches from the obstacle all while facing forward looking at the dash.... nary a look over the shoulder at all :)

Would have been nice to have the dash display, but it's not possible to add the option on my lease budget...so that's why I have to do it as a separate add on at the dealer. Technically not supposed to add/alter anything from the company car spec, but I don't think anyone would mind if my parking improves!:p
