Hi there,

I only have one key for my 147.

I have picked up a spare 3 button fob from a scrapped car.

I have a contact that can re-programme the car to accept the new key fob.

I have a new keyblade from a locksmiths.

I cannot work out how to change the blade! Does anyone have any instructions for doing this?

The blade seems to be 'drifted' into the rounded section that fits over the spring with a tiny pin in it. I need to work out how to get the existing one out. Then hopefully I can figure how to fit it back together!

Any help will be gratefully recieved.:)

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome.:)

Yeah you have to spin it a couple of times to get the spring tension right. But it's that bit that I need to split in two.

Hi, thanks for the advice.

So I just need to push through the tiny pin and the blade should come out of the assembly?

To get the key reprogrammed to your car you need someone with a computer. Any alfa dealer or specialist should have one.

You will need to take along all keys you want programmed as they all have to be done at the same time. So if you have one key already and want to add a new one you will need to take both. (I'm sure you'll have to anyway as you'll need the good one to start the car and drive there! )

You will also need the code card for the car. If you don't have this you'll need to order one. Again a dealer or specialist should be able to get that for you.

The place I use is Roberts Aerospace in Hampshire, not far from Portsmouth. Website is Roberts Aerospace and Automotive - Italian and Sports Car Servicing and Repairs in Hampshire and on the South Coast

Cheers
