Hi

Jusy wanted to know peoples views on fitting chrome mirrors to a 56 plate stromboli grey GT.

The grilles bright chrome (standard) but would the car take satin mirrors or stay with bright chrome?

Also does anyone know the best place to buy?

Thanks

the 'look' is subjective, as to whether people will like it or not.

personally, i think it'd look great on the Stromboli GT, and i would go chrome rather than satin, for the reason you mention.

in comparison, i have a 159 Ti in red; the front has chrome trims, and the mirrors satin. it looks 'good', but not perfect IMO. and i'd equally be happy with red mirror covers on the red car.

we are presumably talking about the mirror 'covers' which are replacable. vinyl would be difficult to wrap tightly around the edges because of its thickness; 'film' whilst thinner, can be difficult to stretch. issues like longevity in UV light, stretch and crease marks - basically, fit and finish will not be like the proper thing. though in Oz, there are specialists that do 'coatings' of any design you like (eg: carbon fibre pattern, chrome, gold, textures, etc); so they could do it properly, and there are presumably similar specialists in the UK who can do coatings.

'09 GTs have satin mirrors. not sure if chrome was an option; meaning, chrome versions might be 'non genuine' aftermarket versions (not 100% sure).
