Hi

Has anyone ever used Cerakote for their rims? Mine are powdercoated at the moment but I need to replace them because one has two cracks in it. The original rims are also a pig to clean, with all the brake dust there constantly, so I was thinking of getting new rims and cerakote them a nice darkish blueisch colour? Isn't cerakote what they put in pans to make them non-stick? I do know they use it on firearm barrels so it should be heat resistant? Has a hammered look to it.

Used on tubular steel exhaust manifolds IIRC as a long term VHT finish. Specialist application, too - few places do it. I've not heard of it being used on wheels. It will be expensive.
