I have read several members on the forum saying that a standard (or silenced at least) centre exhuast section, with a straight through rear section sounds the best compromise between LOUD and loud enough / nice growl n' howl when wound up. I currently have Ragazzon centre (small silencer) and straight through rear section and it sounds great but its just a bit too loud? Anyone have any suggestions where to get a standard centre section from, apart from having one made up by a specialist?

I have done exactly the same thing myself.

The centre sections are common to all versions - so a breaker would be a good bet.

Failing that there a pattern parts on eBay and elsewhere.

Thanks for the offer, what is the bore of the pipes on your centre section? Is it a standard size? I ask because all the rest of my exhaust is larger bore than standard.

The bore is standard, so slightly smaller than a ragazzon, it matches up perfectly to the raggazon on my car (quad silenced dtm) but I found the system too quiet (3 silencers in total)

Currently run a straight through centre pipe which is loud but drones a bit so was thinking the small silencer centre box would be just right!

Haha, I've also got a straight through centre section and boy, that was REALLY loud! The Ragazzon centre section is slightly quieter but as I have a straight through rear section too, it's still pretty antisocial to be honest, hence me wanting to change it.
When I'm putting the car in the garage in the evenings, I can see curtains twitching for several streets around ?.
I'd be up for selling the Ragazzon but I'll probably get a chambered central silencer section made up in the right bore pipe rather than a standard section. I'll let you know when the Rag is up for sale, although it might not be for a a month or two?

If you're interested I have a custom cat-back exhaust for sale in stainless steel - all made in one piece, its in 2.5" so a size up from original. I'm after £250 for it. There is one silencer in total.

Thanks Pud but I only really need the centre section, as everything else (cat-back) is new. I'm also considering equal length downpipes as well though if anyone has a set of those going begging for a CF3 V6?:thumbup:

I have a standard centre section, very little used, which I don't need. You're welcome to it if you wish - no charge, just need to collect or arrange pick up. It came off a TS and I've used the matched rear section on my V6, as they fit both.

Thanks very much mate, thats a really kind offer. After thinking about it though I've decided to get a centre sction made up to match the larger bore of the pipework I already have, as I am lucky enough to have a SS exhaust specialist 2 miles from my home.
